Glocke in Rothenburg

Nice place located in the center of the old town. Offers traditional German food but also vegetarian and vegan meals. We had spaghetti with cashew pesto. It was very delicious though quite expensive. Has a small little terrace to sit outside in Summer. Cozy but a little noisy out there.

Staff at Goldener Hirsch recommended the Glocke Restaurant. We don't go anywhere else for mid-day and evening meals. Delicious food, very friendly service, comfortable and tastefully decorated. I especially liked the Winzerroulade (photo)

We had an early dinner. Wiener schnitzel; half a portion and the vegan menu with pffeferlinge, pesto spaghetti. Was exquisite. The homemade herb butter with bread as appetizer was yummy too. Its located very close to the Plönlein tower in the old city center.

Nice hotel in a charming town. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect. They even have free covered parking. Breakfast buffet is great. The room is a little dated. I ordered a double bed which means you get 2 single beds side by side. Unfortunately, they slide in their own on the carpet and separate.

Glocke restaurant is a lovely quaint little restaurant which fits no more than 25 people. I must commend the excellent service here. The food is top notch, especially the roast beef which melts in your mouth. Do try their Franconian soups as well! Perfect for a chilly winter’s day!
